Founded in 1985 by Maestro Hugo Betancourt, Ballet Folklorico “Quetzalli” makes its home in the state capital, Xalapa, Veracruz. They have toured internationally performing traditional folkloric dances, as well as their Afro-Caribbean spectacular, “Carnaval Veracruzano”.
Celebrating their 50th anniversary season in 2016, Mexico’s "Los Folkloristas" continue their mission set in 1966 "to preserve and record the traditional music of Mexico and Latin America."
